Satin Path vs Fill – Review

Do you fully understand the difference between these two tools? In this segment Trevor reviews the satin path tool plus and the fill tool while focusing on how they are different. Booth tools can make a satin or fill stitch it is the ability to have more than one stitch angle that sets the satin path apart from the fill tool.

Cut Bobbin Technique – Fringe

Learn to make fringe or loops by cutting the bobbin thread and pulling the stitches back up to the top. To stop all of the thread from unraveling to the top we stitch a second satin stitch column along one side of the fringe to hold it it place.
Cut Top Thread Technique

In this segment Trevor teaches the cut thread technique where you cut the stitches from the top and allow them to look a little like chenille or fur.
Digitize Cattails – Cut Thread

Trevor digitizes this cattails in the pond design from a jpg photo of an original drawing. Using the satin path tools combined with the run line tool trevor is able to create this design from start to finish in just a few minutes. Trevor used the cut thread technique on the cattails.
